Introducing Leesa Tha Teacha

Leesa Tha Teacha resides in her childhood town of Willingboro NJ. She has been doing stand-up comedy since she first began her middle school teaching career in 1998 (because comedy and teaching are basically the same jobs).

After a string of performing at parties and open mics, she decided to make stand-up a professional career in 2022 at the ripe age of 57, thus completing her bucket list. She's opened for Def Comedy Jam comics, Talent and Hamburger, and received recognition at the 2026 Black Women in Comedy Fest for her audience engagement skills.
